Is personal data (handwriting/notebook content) used to train AI features?

Goodnotes assures users that it does not access or collect data from their notebooks to train its AI features. However, users of Goodnotes can voluntarily submit their data through ‘Feature Feedback’ under section 3.7.1. Goodnotes may use this information to improve its services, but only if it is submitted voluntarily.

For AI typing feature, we do not use your data to train AI models and we do not store the data in our servers except the case you explicitly put the document in our cloud. Any selected text you send via AI typing will be shared with our partners for the sole purpose of providing you with AI typing features.

AI handwriting features like Spellcheck and Word Complete that are based off our proprietary ML model are run entirely on device and the data is not sent anywhere so no one - including GoodNotes - can access it.
