If you find that you no longer want to use the Goodnotes Admin Console or your Goodnotes Organization, you can delete your Organization and all the associated information in the Admin Console itself. You can also use the Admin Console to delete users in your Organization.
See the below information for differing deactivation and deletion processes available:
Deactivate/Suspend:
Temporarily blocking a Goodnotes Account from logging into Goodnotes, with the ability to reactivate/continue at any time by the Owner and Admin in Admin Console > User Management.
During the “deactivated” state, the account can be reactivated or deleted.
Delete:
There are 2 types of deletions: soft delete and hard delete.
-
- Soft delete: When the Owner in Admin Console deletes a Goodnotes Account in the Admin Console UI, the Goodnotes Account enters a soft delete state (a.k.a. "scheduled to delete" state) and begins the 21-day retention period. Goodnotes Ops team can recover the GNA during the 21-day retention period.
-
Hard delete: Once the 21-day retention period has expired, the GNA will be hard deleted, which is a permanent deletion, and no one will be able to recover the data.
- Retention period: A period during which we will retain the GNA and associated data until it is permanently removed from our system. We also allow the Owner of the organization to request account restoration if they contact the Goodnotes Ops team during this period.
